Hello?
I have been Staying in our log cabin which is in the forest below us. 15 years ago my father built a log cabin out of christmas trees. It is 14x4 feet with 3 windows and a fire. The forest is full of deer and we get the odd poacher getting them. I have spent 4 nights in there I slept like a log. The log cabin is brilliant because it gives a great experience to be in the wild.
When I was in London I went to the Deep Sea exhibition in the Natural History museum. I learnt that 5 million Londons could fit in the oceans deep. My favourite fish there was the Angler fish which has a light on its head to attract prey. in the very near future I will be going to the English national aquarium to see the fish they catch here.
This will probably be my last post because no-one is responding?

Hello
The weather here is the opposite of in New Zealand. This has been the driest spring since 1929. I have been baling with my Grandad's Case III tractor, we are getting fewer bales then normal. It suits us, we can do more outside and the water is warmer for swimming in the reservoir and quarry.
I am interested in endangered species. Here these include: Great Crested Newts, Bats (14), Hazel Dormice and Hedgehogs. Last weekend we helped an Ecologist do a Hazel Dormouse survey. Another New Zealand endangered speices is the Ginger. My brother Seth has dyed his hair for the Gingers, our friend Gus is a Ginger and he has frekles like Seth, Gus has had to shave his hair to a number 3 so it is the same length as Seth's. I want to get blue hair and my says I can. What do you think I should do?
Where we live here is very remote, We have no tv, telephone, internet or video games in our home. For entertainment we chop down trees and look after our nature ponds. For my learning I am writing about different jobs our friends have here. I also have to read I have read: When the Lion Feeds by Wilbur Smith and 39 steps by John Buchan and I am reading Warlock by Wilbur Smith. I have to write book reviews on every book I read -it's Hell! and to make it worse I have 10 challenges and the first is I can't say "AWESOME" for one whole day.

Waka's journal from Devon 22nd June
Hello room 14 and Mr W
This is the first time since I've arrived that I've got on a computer. Our neighbours had to get an internet connection. We don't have television, a phone line, any gaming or videos. We are having a low- tech term. We are learning to use axes and saws to cut down trees and to make things. We still play sports and fish but we live outside a lot.
I am living at Tottiford Farm, Hennock, Bovey Tracey, Devon TQ139PD ( if you want to write to me). We are the big House/Barn facing the road if you enter that postcode on Google Earth. It is in Dartmoor national park so it is quite wild and not many people live there. I like the wild animals we live here with they include Newts, Toads, Frogs, Slow Worms(which are legless lizards), Roe and Fallow Deer, Badgers, Foxes. My favourites are the frogs but I have to stop my brother from killing them .
My grandad Edwin lives at Shuttamoor Farm three fields to the east, He is hay making this week because its really sunny! He has a Round Baler and a Case tractor, "they are a very deadly duo." This afternoon I'm pulling the levers of the tractor to release the bales it's going to be sooo fun.
We live in a barn in Tottiford Farm. Our neighbours are: Toby and Laura (Toby's girlfriend) Alana their daughter, in the lower house are Phil and Helen. They are both doctors, he's an Ear Nose and Throat surgeon and uses a robot for operati0ns. When he has been using a chainsaw the previous day he can't do surgery the next day because his hand shakes too much! We really like our neighbours so we built and just finished a HUGE table for 14, which we recycled from our grandad's old silo frames. Last weekend it was full of people for two nights, not one person drove by without stopping and chatting.
Recently war planes have been flying really low over us. Yesterday we saw a Hercules flying 200m from the ground, we have also seen a Merlin Helicopter just above us. We think it's for training because there are very few people in the the National Park. I think its awesome because you can see all the guns and missiles. Toby and our friend Adam have just returned from fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq and we now have Adam's combat jackets!
The "Inversion Boots" are just pieces of foam with a switch and a hook at the back, how they work is, you find something like pull up bar and pull yourself up and the hooks cling onto the bar and you just hang like a bat. I got them because they are supposed to stretch you and make you taller. "My record is 10 minutes then , when I got off I could'nt feel my legs." You get them on
Trade Me. They are great, I reckon I have grown an inch with them.
I will soon be taller than Jacob and Kelvin and best of all I will be taller than Chad since we used to be the same height.
I will try and get some pics next time.

Last Day At School
I'm going to England "YAYYYYY!"
When we are there we are moving back into our Barn. It's not just any Barn it's got 2 stories. Next to our Barn we have our pond which is "filled with frogs!" The pond also has my old friend the TOAD, he was there 2 years ago and hopefully still is.
When we are there we are hoping to catch up with some of our Family friends there, which we have'nt seen for years.
When I'm there its going to be good and sad because, I have to still do have to do school work and I'm going to miss some of my friends and my Mum! But otherwise its going to be Great I can catch up with the rest of my family and other friends. This is an expierence that not many people get so I can't turn it down!
IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT!!!!!!!!
